The ProForm 505 CST is a lot of treadmill for a very reasonable price. When you first get it, plan on spending a few hours putting it together. However, it’s fairly simple to do and there are plenty of diagrams in the manual. The 505 is a relatively heavy machine but that translates into a really stable walking/ running platform. The belt has cushioning and doesn’t seem to cause a lot of impact on the legs. It’s certainly feels better than running on the road. The motor action is smooth and it’s quieter than I expected. I like that I can plug my iPod in while exercising and listen on the speakers rather than having to wear headphones. There’s also default music if you want to use that instead. I think listening to the same songs would get old after a while so suggest you use your own MP3 player. The Pro Form 505 can reach 10 mph and a 10% incline, more functionality than most beginner or intermediate exercisers need. It’s easy to change the incline and speed since their own button controls each. There are around 15 built-in programs with a great deal of variety. You can upgrade to Proform’s iFit if you want to spend the money for even more choices. The display is big and easy to read, even in a sunny room. Although the treadmill folds up, I don’t plan to normally use the option. Overall, the Pro Form 505 is a great value.
